Answer:I’m not sure about epoxy as that is a bit heavy, but being silicone I imagine it would hold up to temperature of candle wax, and most def fondant for cake decoration.

Answer:No, it does not have a lid. You get the flexible molds and that’s it. As I recall they were just in a plastic bag inside the shipping box. I ordered these as a gift for my niece.
